Project intelligence in Slack
Mention Gridline in a project channel or open a direct message to ask about project status, RFIs, drawings, specifications, code requirements, and next actions. Gridline can also create accountable project tasks without moving the conversation to another tool.
- Immediate processing feedback followed by a compact Slack-native reply.
- Threaded channel answers that preserve the original project conversation.
- Direct messages for private project questions and setup guidance.
- Links back to governed Gridline sources when evidence is available.
Install and connect
A Gridline firm owner must sign in to Gridline before connecting a Slack workspace. Slack installation alone never grants access to Gridline project data.
Do not have a Gridline account? Request access for your firm or email support@gridlineos.com.
If you are not signed in, Gridline first opens its secure login flow and then returns you to the protected integration settings. Your Slack administrator may also need to approve the app under your organization's policies.
Every user signs in
After the workspace is connected, each Slack sender completes their own short-lived Gridline sign-in with Google or Microsoft. Gridline binds that signed-in account to the immutable Slack workspace and user identifiers from the original signed event.
Email matching can suggest the likely account, but it never grants access. The user must be active in the connected Gridline firm and authorized for the requested project. Unknown workspaces, users, and project mappings fail closed.
Governed by Gridline
- Slack requests are verified with Slack's signing secret and replay window.
- Workspace credentials are encrypted and selected by the signed Slack team ID.
- Gridline applies the same firm, user, project, and action controls used on the web.
- Integration messages, authorization failures, and project actions are audited.
- Owners can disconnect the workspace and users can unlink their own identity.
